Our Community Schools Model Works
The Community School Model brings together vital resources and places them directly into school buildings for the benefit of students and their families. We are helping remove non-academic barriers that too many students may face every day – barriers that prevent them being able to focus on the joy of learning. When students have what they need, they can better focus on classroom instruction and when their families have this level of support, every part of the education process grows stronger.
Breaking Down Barriers
Look at some of the ways we are making a difference
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
United Way Community Schools bring schools, families and community partners together to make sure students have access to the resources and opportunities they need. Through partnerships with local organizations, businesses and service providers, students and families are connected to health and wellness resources, family engagement opportunities, food assistance and more.
United Way Community Schools help lead and coordinate these partnerships, bringing the right resources into schools based on the needs of each school community. It’s a collaborative approach that makes more possible for students, families and our community.
When you give to United Way, you’re investing in Community Schools and the partnerships that bring meaningful resources and opportunities to students and families. Every gift strengthens what’s possible in our schools and helps us continue Partnering for a Stronger Tomorrow.
